In-Game Tips[ | ]

  • Leg Shot is a versatile ability, dealing high damage and hindering the enemy's search speed to a crawl.
  • Well placed Hunting Traps are great for chasing enemies once triggered. However, keep in mind the locations of your traps, as you may step on them.

General[ | ]

Bernice's D+ Gun mastery start is a nice advantage. Combined with Leg Shot and the relative ease of crafting strong Gun weapons, Bernice can easily dominate the early game. Bernice is also very tanky. He has the highest level 1 armor stat, which also remains high throughout the game, and a relatively high HP stat to boot. Overall, Bernice is solid throughout the game and can be made even more powerful through the use of his skills.

Abilities[ | ]

Leg Shot is a Combat Skill that deals extra damage and inflicts the "Slow" debuff on the enemy, making their search animation slower. If the enemy continues to fight after getting hit with Leg Shot, you will be able to attack faster than they can. This makes Leg Shot a very powerful combat skill: you can overpower an opponent of equal strength, or level the playing ground between you and a stronger opponent. Therefore, save it for important moments: contesting the starting area; contesting Dr. Wickeline, Mr. Meiji, or other big animals; and the final restricted zone. However, Leg Shot only lasts for 8 seconds, so it is more of a bullying tool than a crutch. After Slow has ended, Bernice is just like any other character. Using Leg Shot on a weak enemy is not ideal, since Slow does not affect changing areas at all. However, one can still use it to guarantee no Guard from an enemy at low HP.

As for his Hunting Traps, try to place Hunting Traps in strategic positions (such as Hospital, to where desperate players often run). Remember their locations well, or you might run into your own traps and lose HP. Another use of Hunting Traps is to hide Bernice. If Bernice need to heal, rest or first-aid, he can put traps down and hide in a zone. Once an enemy enters the zone, they will have a 50% chance to step in a trap instead of attacking Bernice, giving him a notification and ample time to run away.
