Leagues make up the player ranking system in Black Survival: Immortal Soul. Players start the game in Herbivore League, where rank is determined by Experience (EXP) points, then progress to Carnivore League, where rank is determined by Rank Points (RP). Experience points are earned in Normal Game mode, and Rank Points are earned in Ranked Game mode (although Carnivore League players can still play in Normal games). Each League is comprised of 5 different animal tiers.
Herbivore League[]
In Herbivore League, players can participate in PVP Normal Games to gain Experience. Higher game placements earn more experience, but players cannot lose Experience. Herbivore Players cannot play in Ranked Game mode.
While in Herbivore League, players can revive their characters and use supply boxes for free. Higher ranks have larger Gold Bonuses; as players continue to rank up, they have the potential to earn more gold after each game. Herbivore League players also receive a gold bonus after each animal rank promotion.

Carnivore League[]
After completing the Herbivore League, players will receive the "caged beast" rank (pictured at the top of this page), and Ranked Game mode will be unlocked. After playing 10 ranked games (also known as "Placement Matches"), players will be placed into one of the following carnivore ranks based on their performance.
Players can either gain or lose Rank Points (RP) depending on their performance in a ranked game. After completing placement matches, players demote below Fox 5. To revive dead characters, players must pay 100 gold (unless they have purchased the Assistant Researcher item) or wait 1 hour for the character to revive for free. Additionally, to use Supply Boxes, players must either purchase them with gems or obtain them from the Bear Point card draw.
All carnivore ranks have a gold bonus of +100%. Players at lion rank or higher can also see their global ranking within the "Top 100" tab.
After a preseason period, all Carnivore League players will be reset to the "caged beast" rank for the new season and must complete 10 placement matches to be given a new animal tier/RP value. The player's rank from the previous season will also be taken into account when calculating the new season's starting rank.

Season Rewards[]
At the start of the new season, Carnivore League players will receive a border based on their highest animal tier from the previous season. Any tiers reached during the preseason period will not be taken into account. The carnivore border can be seen on their character within pre-game lobbies (when all 10 players are displayed prior to the start of a game), as well as next to their name on the end-game screen.

Seasonal Skin Rewards[]
Players who have reached at least Lion Rank will also receive a limited edition "Test Subject"-themed skin (even if they are below Lion Rank once the season ends). The character for the season used to be decided by NimbleNeuron midway through the season, but are now decided through the Test Subject Selection Vote. Players will receive the skin at the start of the next season. Season reward skins cannot be purchased. Players who have earned the Test Subject skin will also receive the character, if not already owned.
