The Test Subject Selection Vote is an in-game voting event to decide which character will receive the Test Subject skin for the current season. The system was first added in Season 6 added during the April 17 2019 patch.
General Information[]
- Voting is held a few months before season end in the form of 6 rounds over the course of approximately a month. The duration of each round starts as 3 days, then increases as the rounds go on.
- At the end of each selection round, several characters will be eliminated from contention; at the end of the final round, the character with the highest number of votes will be selected for the Test Subject skin.
- Characters that already have Test Subject skins are excluded from the event. Characters released during this event are also excluded.
- Every selection round, the players who cast the most votes will be awarded benefits. These benefit rewards, along with rank-based season rewards, will be distributed after the end of the season.
Vote Tickets[]
- Players vote for characters using Vote Tickets. Vote Tickets can be obtained through the following methods:
- Daily log-in: players receive 5 Vote Tickets each day they log into the game. This can be collected directly in Quests.
- Daily quests: each quest can only be completed once per day. If all daily quests are completed, players can earn 25 Vote Tickets per day.
- Achieve Top 4 (Classic Mode) (0/1): 10 Vote Tickets
- Reach Rank (Random Mastery) B+ (All modes) (0/1): 10 Vote Tickets
- Shop: Players can purchase Vote Tickets using Gold, Gems, or Bear Points.
Vote Tickets cannot be used after this event.
Voting Schedule[]
- Rest Periods were removed in Season 9.
- The time each round lasts varies, with the first 3 rounds being 3 days long, the next 2 rounds being 5 days long, and the final selection vote being 11 days long.
- Halfway through each voting round, the Provisional Result(s) will be announced. There is 1 Provisional result for rounds 1-5, with rounds 4-5 having Live Result Update after the Provisional update. Final round consists of 5 Live Result Updates.

In the Home screen, players can view My Benefits.
At the end of each voting round, players can click on the "Check Result" button to view the voting results for that round. The reveal animation can be skipped, to quickly view the voting results for all characters.
Vote Now Window[]
In the Vote Now screen, players can vote for 1 character at a time with many votes as the players want.
Ranking Window[]
The Ranking screen shows the results of completed selection rounds. Players can see the top 500 users that have cast the most votes, both cumulatively for each selection round and for each character.

- Only completed selection rounds will be available for viewing.
- Each Vote Ticket counts as 1 vote.

Voting Selections[]
- How to vote: Vote for your season's favourite Test Subject to participate in the Test Subject Skin Selection. ( Vote Tickets can be obtained through quests or can be purchased in the shop.)
- Voting Schedule: Test Subjects will be eliminated through rounds 1 to 5. The final round will determine which Test Subject get the season 9 Test Subject's skin. (More details available by clicking the calendar icon on the vote menu.)
- Benefits: Specific items can be obtained for each round upon reaching a certain rank. ( More details available by clicking on "my benefits" on the vote menu.)
- Vote Stamps: Vote Stamps can be received upon voting, and can be exchanged in the Vote Shop for different items.

[How to vote]
- For the first time of the voting event, Vote Tickets can be used to vote for Test Subjects.
- Test Subjects who have already received a Test Subject Skin are excluded from the voting event.

- 1 Vote Stamp is obtained for each Vote Ticket used.
- Vote Stamps can be exchanged for limited items and Credits in the Vote shop.
[Vote Ticket and Vote Stamps expiration]
- Vote Tickets will expire at the end of the voting event: they cannot be used after the end of the voting event and will not be carried over the next season's voting event.
- Vote Stamps can be used in the Vote Shop even after the end of the Voting Event, but will expire before the beginning of the next season. We recommend you to use them during the Voting Event.
Provisional Results[]
- 1st to 3rd Selections: Only the name of Test subjects who are critically close to elimination will be shown
- 4th and 5th Selections: Only the name of Test subjects who are critically close to elimination will be shown
Vote Tickets[]
- Vote Tickets can be obtained through daily log-ins and through gameplay.
- Daily log-in will give 5 Vote Tickets, completing daily vote tickets quests give 20 tickets in total.
- Vote Tickets can also be purchased using in-game currency.
- Please make sure to use all your Vote Tickets before the Final Selection ends, as the Vote Tickets will NOT be used in any future events.

- Players will receive all rewards if the cumulative votes for characters during this Test Subject Skin Selection are within the TOP 30.
- Check voter rankings by selecting the Ranking Tab -> All.
If a Test Subject Voice that has already been selected at the previous round is selected again, it will be changed to a BGM item.
All rewards will be distributed to each player at the end of the season alongside the season's league rewards.
Vote Shop[]
In Season 9, the players will receive Vote Stamps corresponding to the number of Voting Tickets that were used ( 1 vote = 1 stamp). Vote Stamps can last after the voting event ended but will EXPIRE when the new season begins.
The Vote Shop contains products such as "The Art of Black Survival" and seasonal skins' voice packs: 17M-RFT31, 14M-RFT04, 16M-RFT22 and 14M-RFT13. These products belong to the upper section called Season-limited.
Right below is another section called Credits where Vote Stamps can be exchanged for Credits.

Differences from Season 6[]
- Rest periods were periods where voting was not available, typically after the end of rounds, and were removed in season 9.
- Previously the first 3 rounds were 2 days long, the next 2 rounds being approximately 5 days long, and the final selection vote 9 days long.
- Players were able to obtain voting tickets during rest periods. However, the tickets could only be used during voting rounds.
- Preliminary results were announced halfway through the round. There was 1 preliminary result for rounds 1-3 and 2 preliminary results for rounds 4-6.
- The former Voting Ticket required a certain amount of selected characters in order to be used. The requirement reduced as the rounds went on since Test Subjects were steadily being eliminated.
- On earlier rounds, each ticket would allow 5 characters to be chosen where as in the Final, only 1 was permitted. This was to ensure that the available voting spots were proportionate to the remaining Test Subjects.
- My Benefits is a replacement name of the reward distributing system to what formerly known as Privileges. The system before updated, provided rewards only to players that were within a restricted range.

All eligible characters are assigned a letter grade from A-D. According to the in-game "Grade Standard", these grades are based on the characters' win rates and pick rates.
